I've read the manga, but I'm only a few eps into the series. Basically, I imagine people watch it for the fights. Some people claim the story line isn't very good, but after reading the manga, I actually like 90% of the plot and found it to be fairly interesting as it is incredibly hard to guess what will happen next.

The first episode is darker than the rest of it, but is a good representation of the series as a whole (so far). So if you like it, go for it. If not, stick around it may grow on you.

I'd probably give it a 7/10, which is a decent score from me.

I havent read the manga but from where its at currently (11/24), Its really enjoyable. They introduce a lot of characters throughout the show and yet they all feel special and are very likable.

The story is also pretty interesting and from what ive heard it will only get better.

The show does suffer a bit of censoring (not as bad as Tokyo Ghoul) which can take away from the most gruesome scenes but it makes up for it in other instances.

Akame Ga Kill is definitely in my top 5 of the season and am glad its 2 cours. I suggest you give it a go.

Read the manga, all up to date. A lot of times its shock oriented just for the hell of it. Theres one particular chapter thats pretty infamous for needless shock horror that didn't add to the story at all. The manga author or whatever its called got a lot of flak for it.

Personally I can handle shock material and gore as long as it actually adds to the plot or develops a character.

I don't even remember it being particularly gory or shocking... Perhaps I need to see an doctor for entertainment apathy xD

I was planning on watching that when the season started but decided not to once i heard about the censorship issues. (though ive heard they released an uncensored version recently)

Ill probably watch it once it finishes airing. Im having a hard time keeping up with my 30 shows o_0

If i had to recomend a show from this season though, other than the obvious. Id say Akatsuki no Yona. Its a Shoujo action-fantasy but its very entertaining and i look forward to it every week.

I'll take a peek at that one. As far as Terra Formars, it is still pretty raw if it is actually censored. T&A, bloody violence, dismemberment, etc. The so called "uncensored" episodes are only going to be 1-5 and are also listed on animeget.com here is the link

I'd really like to watch Terra Formars, but the censoring is just too much for me. It's worse than Tokyo Ghoul with it blocking out most of the screen. Your best bet is to just watch it raw and then later with subtitles just so you have a clear picture of what's going on.
