Civ 5 friday the 24- Colonization
Sorry its a bit late, but if not enough people show up for this I may change the event.

Basically, this will be a team game, pitting Native or Indigenous populations against Colony-type civs.

Native Civs Include:
(May expand into Washington if we have that many people)

Colony Civs:
Any civilization that can be proved (via an authentic website or just general knowledge of history) to have attempted to settle in North or South America. Obviously we have the standards like England, France, and Spain, but options such as Denmark and Russia are also available

The Game will start around 8:30 EST (May be pushed back to 9)
Please attend if you are planning on being able to play for a few hours.

Someday my arrows will find you,
Pierce that armor that binds you,
One shot, will remind you
You're up against de Montalban!

If I should ever miss you,
Don't fret, next one will kiss you,
One shot, will remiss you
you're up against de Montalban!

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread
winding its way through our political and cultural
life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy
means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’”
- Dr. Isaac Asimov

If we get up and running fast there is no reason why I cant join
More Native Civs:

Colony Civs:
Portugal (and arguably by extension Brazil; as the government was based there for most of the 1800s)
Arguably Rome. A lot of the early settlers were led by Italians and the church was heavily involved.
Scotland had a pretty big impact in the 1680's; mainly by bankrupting themselves and ticking everyone off. Was a large driver of the act of union (with england and wales)
Wont be home till round 1130 pm
